Abstract
The authors have studied on anti-calculus effects of dentifrice containing Tetra Sodium Pyrophosphate(TSPP) and Sodium anhydrous pyrophosphate(SAPP).
26 dental patients of age twenties were devided as 13 members of Experinatal groul with using dentifrius containg TSPP and SAPP, and others as control group with using dentifrice without pyrophosphate.
Oral prophylaxis were performed to all materials and checked the calculus index and PHP index, periodically until 16 weeks.
@ES The obtained results were as followings.
@EN 1. It was estimated that 14.3% anti-calculus depositing effects at 12weeks and 34.0% at 16 weeks were revealed on experimental group with using the dentifrice containing the TSPP and SAPP.
2. There was not significant difference in PHP index between experimental group and control group for 16 weeks.
3. There would be some anti calculus effects to use the dentifrice containg the pyrophosphate.
